Barbados first participated in the Netball World Cup (then known as the World Tournament), in the Port of Spain 1979 in Trinidad, where they finished in 8th place. Since then, their highest finish came at Glasgow 1987 World Tournament where they finished in equal 6th place. At the most recent Netball World Cup, Liverpool 2019, Barbados finished in 12th place.
